Whiteout
Site specific work for the exhibition Raw Materials / Råstoffer at Gammelgaard, Copenhagen, DK
In economic theory, the rarest raw materials are the most attractive or noble due to their scarcity. This has historically contributed to an understanding of some materials as more valuable than others. With the ongoing climate and resource crisis, we have become more aware of the overexploitation of the Earth's resources that this understanding of materials has resulted in, and many today actively choose to reuse or recycle materials as an alternative. In this schism, we see the beginnings of a new material culture, from which the concept for the exhibition Raw Materials stems.
