We Are Fossils

Permanent, site specific work for the exhibition Collapse / Sammenbrud, Ved skoven, Falster, DK.

Discarded clothing sit like fossils in the surface of cast concrete elements, forming three columns. The textiles originate from waste facilities on Zealand, DK. A fossil is preserved remains or traces of organisms from the distant past. Fossilised is also used as an adjective meaning ‘extinct species’.
