Sun Strips

Sun Strips / Solfelter, 2016, bleached and dyed lycra, rope and steel tubes, three lengths each 18m x 2,4m.

Commission and site specific work for Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe, AU.

On a beach in Australia three lengths of swimsuit fabric are lounging on the sand. The fabric has previously been exposed to bleach, dye, daylight lamps, self tanning lotion and sunbeds during the winter in Denmark. It was then transported to Australia and exposed to sunlight, sand and wind during the Australian summer.
