One Two Three

Permanent commission for public school, Kragelundskolen, Aarhus, DK. 

To mark the children’s movement through the corridors of the school, three reliefs with imprints of used trainers are displayed by the entrance. Each relief is unique and contains traces of the hand's work with the material, as variations on the surface. Within each relief the shoes lie closely together, becoming an image of individuals forming a community. The reliefs are reminiscent of archeological findings that tell us something about who we are and how we might be connected.
